Ternate, (Nagaripost) – Kapal KM Karya Indah yang mengangkut 81 orang dikabarkan mengalami kebakaran di Perairan Pulau Limafatola, Sanana Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula provinsi Maluku Utara, Sabtu (29/5).
Berdasarkan siaran pers yang diterima cermat, pihak Basarnas Ternate melalui Unit Siaga SAR Sanana menerima informasi tersebut dari Sofyan, Kasat Polair Sanana.
Kepala Basarnas Ternate, Muhamad Arafah, mengatakan laporan yang disampaikan Sofyan diterima pihaknya sekitar pukul 08.30 WIT. Kapal dengan rute Ternate – Sanana itu dikabarkan mengalami kebakaran kurang lebih 5 mil arah Timur Laut dari Pulau Lifamatola.
“Setelah menerima informasi, pukul 08.50 WIT, Tim Rescue Unit Siaga SAR Sanana berangkat menuju ke LKP untuk melaksanakan pencarian dan pertolongan menggunakan RIB 01. Estimasi waktu tiba di LKP pukul 10.23 WIT,” ungkap Arafah.
Sekadar diketahui, unsur yang terlibat dalam pencarian ini di antaranya Tim Basarnas Rescue Unit Siaga SAR Sanana, Pol Air Sanana, KUPP Sanana, dan warga. Sementara Posko pengendalian operasi SAR ini dipusatkan di Kantor Basarnas Ternate.
Hingga berita ini ditayangkan, semua unsur tersebut masih terus melakukan pencarian dan pertolongan terhadap para korban. (RA)
